Maybe she'll be my pro!

Hey check this hot picture of Kelsie out. Don'tcha love the long lean legs...wonder where she gets that from. Not me for sure. I think she would be a great golfer - she loves to hit the balls around in our yard always trying to see if she can hit the watertower. A lot of times she does.

Anyways - look for upcoming episodes from the girls. I am going to have them post their own little blog on here. It's a busy week - but hopedully will have time to have them sit down and share a story or two with you.

Love ya!

Elementary old...high school new!

Oh boy...it's official...the report card says she's a 7th grader. Honestly, where did the time go? I swear it was just last week that we went home crying (okay okay - it was just me crying...cut it out already) to our parents that we were having a baby. Now look I have a beautiful 12 1/2 year old that is simply amazing. And let me tell you, this girl really has grown up over the last 3 months. Nothing gets by her.

Kasidie will be a 5th grader. Ya, that one surprises me too. Okay that sounded bad. I just mean that my last child is already that old. She is a shining star too. The girls are the light of my life right now and all the decisions I make are totally based on them.

Okay...I know its only 9:30 - but I'm seriously exhausted.

THIS IS ME!

I've always been the kind of girl, that hated my face,
so afraid to tell the world what I've got to say.
But I have this dream - right inside of me
I'm gonna let it show, it's time to let you know.

This is real, this is me, I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be.
I'm gonna let the light shine on me.
Now I know who I am, there's no way to hold it in.
No more hiding who I want to be...this is me.

Cuz I know what's it's like, to feel so in the dark,
It's a dream of a life, where you're the shining star.
Even though it seems, likes it's too far away
I have to believe in myself, it's the only way.

This is real, this is me, I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be.
I'm gonna let the light shine on me.
Now I found who I am, there's no way to hold it in.
No more hiding who I want to be....this is me!!

The pit in my stomach!

Well friends and family, today could be the day that we receive an offer on our house. I'm so scared. This house was built together with our two hands. There have been a lot of good memories here, ones we surely won't forget. I also have taken care of kids for the last two and half years. They are much like my own and selling the house will mean parting with them (at least for everyday). So many mixed feelings - not even sure how to describe them.

Onamia Days Centennial Celebration is over and phew...i'm glad. It was a long weekend. Nevermind that I was up until 5 in the morning on Saturday night...but who doesn't like a nice fire and sitting around it with friends?! I was very much involved with the activities of the weekend. The kids are at the age where they are old enough to be off with their friends. I do trust them and they have a cell phone. That worked well when they would answer it....Oh sorry mom, we were on a ride and couldn't hear it....likely story. What's it going to be when they are 16...oh sorry mom, there was no reception where I was at...:)

The Little Miss Pageant went well - including my speech and the crowning of the Little Miss Onamia - it was all of 15 minutes. I guess I know how to move a crowd in and out. I have fun with girls that age...if you show them a little attention, they think you are their best friend. Some of those kids really need that attention.

This last weekend I helped at a benefit to support the Oberfelds. Loretta is 31 and has recently had a double masectomy and will undergo chemo starting the first part of July. The benefit was a huge success with 500-600 people in attendance. I was there working through our Foundation - the Lipski-Olson Caring Community Foundation. We kept the food stocked and cleaned tables. There were lots and lots of auction items. We ended the night with a balloon release that was simply touching.

Saturday I watched the Brandt boys. Shane and Shannon went on a 4-wheeler run to support another cause. We also went bowling for my niece Madisons birthday. That was alot of fun. Amy and I swapped kids for the week. I got Evan and Amy got Kelsie. WOW! No fighting so far. The Brandt boys spent the night.

Sunday we ended with a BBQ at the Holadas. Butch and LEanne were celebrating their anniversary, so Pam & Jim, Evan, Kas and I all went over and hung with them and their kids/grandkids. We ended the night with an early tuck into bed.

We are starting this week with a fresh look on life. I haven't heard anything yet from the realtor..however she mentioned that she believed the offer would come in much to low for us. BITTERSWEET is all I can say.

Until next time - take care...we love you!

We left the zoo a little nuts!

Hey everyone! The girls and I thought this would be a fun way to keep everyone updated on us. We are doing the best we can with the situation. We have been busy with friends, swimming, daycare, Onamia Days and everyday stuff. I made my first drive by MYSELF on Saturday. The girls and I went to the Minnesota Zoo. I made it down there without getting turned around, on the way back I forgot to take an exit, but was able to make it right back on with no problem. Yea for me!! I have never driven farther than Maple Grove by myself, so this was a HUGE accomplishment for me. We had a great day! The weather was good, the snowcones were good too.:) We were able to see the new Russias Grizzly exhibit. That was amazing. (It was quite the attraction site for people too) We also took in an IMAX movie - Kung Fu Panda. That was good. The girls seemed to really enjoy the "really big" screen. We left exhausted from all the walking, but had to keep going as there was shopping to get done. We got home about 9 that night and practically crashed right away.

This weekend in Onamia Days 100th year Celebration. Of course I am busy with the events. I am in charge of Little Miss Onamia this year. I also will work the Lipski/Olson Caring Community Foundations booth where we will be selling our cookbooks. I also will work at the concession stand at the Demo Derby and then the pancake breakfast on Sunday and finally do the float for Little Miss on Sundays Parade. I guess I shouldn't complain - it keeps me busy.

Take Care everyone!
