13...already?

Week 10 of P52

P.S. I already failed at this attempt to keep posting every week, but I may as well keep doing it, you know to keep in the habit of journaling...

My baby girl turned the magic number of 13 this year...on March 11.  She shares her birthday with my late Paternal Grandmother Elva Florence Josephine Oberg Campbell.

Her birthday was spent at the Jr High Choir Concert...but April 8th weekend we will celebrate!

Here is a picture from her Birthday!

Volleyball...

This last Saturday was another full day of Volleyball for Kas...we were in Ogilvie this time.  The girls played really well against teams their own age...for pool play they got first.  But when they went to play for Championship, they got beat by a really tough 8th grade team.  They played one more game after that and got beat...I'm thinking their confidence level after being beat was not so good.

My camera is messed up...maybe that is why I started taking pictures with my cell phone...the lens is loose so I'm thinking that is the reason so many of my pictures this weekend did not turn out.  uuggghhh so frustrating.

**This is week 9**

Its Still Winter...

Uuuggghhhh...I fell off the P52 boat...I was starting to sink until I was handed a life jacket.  Just a minor bump in the road...but I'm back...so I will post my last 2 weeks of photos.

This is from a couple of weekends ago when my sister and family were here...Don took the kids on rides in our field.  Ruger the dog loved it too.

***This would have been Week 8***

Pure Love ~

This weekend I ventured with my sister to see these people:

Our Grandparents.  Aren't they a lovely couple!!  We had a great time visiting and took them to one of their favorite restaurants in town..The Stuga.  Grandpa had liver and onions...I wanted to gag.  But he enjoyed it.

Let's Dish

I have a project in the works (long ways from being completed) that has to do with food...I want to do a food diary for my girls..for ya know, when they are away from home and families of their own.  It will take me a long time to complete...only because I am a procrastinator..haha.  So the book will have recipes and pictures...from canning to grilling to baking.  I think they will like it...scratch that..love it!

So this week, Kasidie helped with supper.  We made one of my favorite hotdishes...one that my mother has made for eons.  Hamburger Rice Hotdish!

Chopping the celery

onions and celery are a must for this hotdish

Chinese Noodles complete the hotdish
(This pic is so nasty looking..but I forgot to take a picture of the hotdish in the pan before it was gone)

Win some...lose some

Saturday we spent the day in Foley for JO Volleyball.  I forgot my camera again, so here is a cell phone pic of daughter #2 playing.  She's #6.  I really need to start remembering that darn thing.  The girls lost 3 sets and won one.  All the games were super fun to watch.

And ooops...I almost forgot to post Week 5 of project 52.  It was a rough weekend..

Look at the cute little face...I mean she's practically smiling at me.

Bells and Balls

My cousin Stephanie got married this weekend..her and Tom made a beautiful bride and groom.  I had a great time and was good to get away from the house for a little bit.  Friday night, I planted my arse at the kitchen table and kept on working in the tax department...all I can say is big fat yuck-o.   Saturday we got going pretty early for our drive to Bloomington..ok like 11...but I thought that was early enough since my purpose was to sleep in.  It was accomplished.  We had some banking business to take care of and then headed out for the big city.  The wedding was pretty.  The reception, well some of us can say that we took full advantage of the open bar...and it wasn't just beer.  Ya, it was great and funny and yep we were drunk!  Once the open bar was closed, I was done.  $6 freaking .75 for a drink..Not one ounce of my money went for a drink..nope not one.  I have children to feed, can't waste it on -alcohol-.  Good time had by all..especially my brother-in-law Chad..(muuuaaahhh)

The quality of the picture is sort of bad, my camera battery was nearly dead before the wedding and during the wedding it died.  One of my upcoming blogs will tell the story of why I have lost touch with the passion for photography that I once I had...numerous reasons or maybe I won't, it really is a sad sad story ...but anyways this is from the cell phone.

Then today we had Kasidies J.O. Volleyball Tourney...the girls were 9/9..yah baby!  1st place again!! It was a great time!  Here is another cell phone picture...

Number 13..my girl!

Beauty at its Best...

In the back of my mind I always knew the day would come when my girls would want to wear *gasp* make-up.  I never wanted that day to come, for it meant that the girls were getting that-much-older.  Make-up is a huge step in growing up.

I remember the day like it was yesterday...my very first make-up kit. FRESH-N-FANCY.  I wish I knew where the picture was, for sure it would send everyone in laughing hysterics...I can't remember, I must have been 8 or so.  Nonetheless, it was still my first make-up in my bag.  Oh the fun we had with that...Santa was the hero that year.

So, the time had come this week when I gave the 'official' ok for them to wear it.  I'm taking the motherly guess that (another *gasp*) interest in boys had something to do with this.  Oh how they will kill me when they read this.

So on Tuesday of this week, Jennifer Kay of Mary Kay, came to teach Kelsie Kay and Kasidie Kay how to properly take care of their beautiful faces.  It was such a fun time.  The girls look so grown up.  I was nearly in tears, for real.  So here are pictures of my Beautiful Babes..making themselves more beautiful then they already are!
